ohn is Director of Innovation and Technical Services at Dublin Bus, leading work on Automated Vehicle Location and the electrification of the bus network, using data and emerging technologies to enhance services for customers and communities.
With over 20 years’ experience in intelligent mobility, data, and transport innovation, he has held senior roles at Arup, Atkins, and Transport for London, where he led Smart/Future Cities initiatives and advanced data-driven insight.
A recognised thought leader, John has been an expert witness to the House of Lords, featured on BBC Breakfast and Radio 5 Live, and published widely in leading journals and media outlets including the Guardian and Telegraph. He is also a recipient of multiple international awards and an active member of several ITS steering groups and EU programmes.
