Sadhbh has over thirty years working in environmental advocacy, policy research and engagement. She is probably best known as a contributor to the Irish Times on climate and environmental issues, and as a former Senior Climate Advisor to Friends of the Earth Ireland. She has a background in academic research and teaching in environmental politics, climate change policy and climate law, which she has mixed at various times with roles in advocacy, litigation and policy research. In 2022, she was the lead author for a landmark report into environmental justice in Ireland for DCU’s Centre for Climate and Society and the charity Community Law and Mediation. Over the past two years she has taught a module in climate and energy law to energy engineering professionals as part of the MSc in Energy Engineering at TU Dublin, as well as lecturing undergraduates in climate politics at DCU. She is a director of Transport Infrastructure Ireland and of ActionAid Ireland. Sadhbh is also the Labour Party candidate for Waterford in the next General Election and has recused herself as a member of the TII board for the duration of the election campaign.
