Driven by the climate change challenge, David transitioned into renewable energy over 30 years ago as an entrepreneur. He co-founded the B9 Energy, developing 10 onshore wind farm sites and providing O&M services for 49, alongside two offshore wind projects, industrial-scale anaerobic digestion, and energy storage solutions.
His current focus is on Power-to-X and Power-to-Liquids, using electrolysers and green hydrogen to maximise the potential of otherwise curtailed wind energy. Recently, he has returned to the maritime sector, pioneering the production of green e-methanol as a clean fuel alternative for ro-ro freight ferries and container ships.
Passionate about combining engineering expertise, entrepreneurship, and sustainability, he continues to push the boundaries of clean energy innovation across land and sea
